As part of the ‘Driver Empowerment Programme’, the Telangana government announced it would provide two-wheelers to the poor through Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation (TSMFC).

Under the “Driver Empowerment Programme,” the Telangana government intends to also offer financial help and empower the drivers.
This scheme is aimed at helping drivers from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, minority communities and backward groups to buy a vehicle and earn their own living.
Abdul Hameed, an auto driver by profession, told ANI that he received the vehicle five years ago under the state government’s scheme.
In praise of the KCR government, Hameed said that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is really good and helps the poor.
