The Bowenpally police apprehended two persons for allegedly defrauding a poultry trader of Rs 1 crore. Syed Toufeeq (30) and Syed Atheef (23), both brothers from Moghal Nagar in Karwan, were arrested.
According to the police, the poultry trader, known as M Murugan, met the suspects in 2016 and became good friends with them. Murugan then established a poultry farm in New Bowenpally in 2017.
“Murugan obtained broiler chicken birds at wholesale prices through his contacts and provided them up to the accused to sell. They gave Murugan the money for the first year and then stopped paying him. The outstanding sum was believed to be Rs.1.2 crore,” police said.

The police also stated that when Murugan asked for money, they began to avoid him. Bowenpally police booked a case and arrested them based on his complaint in July of last year.
Two held for cheating people through Multi-Level Marketing schemes
On Wednesday, the Rachakonda cyber crime police arrested two people on charges of cheating people through online trading.
B. Ravi (36), of Attapur, and V. Raghu (35) of Mulugu were arrested.
According to police, Ravi cheated people through numerous Multi-Level Marketing schemes with the assistance of his accomplices Veer Singh, Sandeep Singh, and Raghu. They set up fake firms in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Goa and opened bank accounts.

Ravi advertised on social media that he could make a lot of money trading online in a short period of time. After collecting the funds, they closed the companies and reopened them in a separate place.
A young man from Malkajgiri was recently defrauded of Rs.8.2 lakh. According to his complaint, the cybercrime police booked a case and arrested the suspects.
