President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to arrive in Hyderabad on Monday evening for a five-day visit. The itinerary includes the 69th convocation of IIT Kharagpur in West Bengal, the centenary of the Hyderabad Public School Society, and meetings with weavers in Pochampally, Telangana.
The following is the itinerary for President Murmu’s visit:
- Tuesday, December 19 : Hyderabad Public School Society’s centennial celebrations.
- Wednesday, December 20: Visit to the Pochampally handloom and spinning unit, as well as the Ministry of Textiles’ theme pavilion. Contact with weavers. MNR Educational Trust’s golden jubilee celebrations at Secunderabad.
- Thursday, December 21: Rashtrapati Nilayam’s different projects are inaugurated.
- Friday, December 22: Rashtrapati Nilayam hosts a ‘At Home’ reception for dignitaries, including state leaders and academics.

In anticipation of the President’s arrival, the city police have enforced traffic restrictions in several areas of the city. Rashtrapati Nilayam, located in the city of Bolarum, is a historical building inherited from the Nizam of Hyderabad after India’s freedom. The President uses it for official work and travels at least once a year.
Rashtrapati Nilayam, which was built in 1860, has a total land size of 90 acres and a single-story building with numerous facilities such as 11 rooms, a dining hall, movie hall, Darbar Hall, and a dining room, among others.
