Hyderabad: Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy today instructed officials concerned to start procuring farm produce from October 1.
He conducted a review meeting with the civil supplies, agriculture and marketing officials at Nizamabad. He asked the marketing officials to start procuring paddy, maize and others by setting up purchase centers at necessary places and get adequate stocks of gunny bags. Provide facilities to the farmers at the markets and ensure that they procure all the farm produce without any fail.
Srinivas Reddy also asked the officials to provide MSP for the produce being purchased from the farmers. There shall not be any inconvenience while making payments to the farmers on procurement of the farm produce, he said. Collectors and officials of Nizamabad and Kamareddy were present. (NSS)
