Allu Arjun’s highly anticipated film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, is just two days away from its theatrical release, scheduled to hit cinemas on December 5. Even before its premiere, the film has already made a massive impact, setting new records and generating immense excitement. As of the latest reports, Pushpa 2 has already surpassed the records set by previous box office giants such as KGF Chapter 2, Kalki 2898 AD, and Baahubali 2.
The film has already sold over one million tickets on the online booking platform Book My Show, highlighting the strong demand for tickets in advance. In another record-breaking achievement, Pushpa 2 has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark for its opening day collections, even before its official release. As per the latest figures from Sacnilk, the film has already earned Rs 50 crore for Day 1, which includes a staggering Rs 35.75 crore in nett collections from over 21,000 shows across India, in multiple languages.
Initially scheduled to release on December 6, the makers of Pushpa 2 decided to advance the film’s release to December 5, strategically ensuring a smooth box-office run. The decision was made even easier by the fact that no other major film is releasing this weekend. Prior to this, the makers of Chhava, a film starring Vicky Kaushal, had initially planned to release on December 5, but they opted to postpone it to February, avoiding a clash at the box office.

In addition to the box office success, Pushpa 2 has already made a significant amount even before its release. The film has grossed Rs 1085 crore in pre-release earnings, with the theatrical rights alone being sold for Rs 640 crore. On top of this, the digital streaming rights have been sold to Netflix for a whopping Rs 275 crore, further adding to the film’s already impressive financial success.
With the excitement surrounding Pushpa 2 reaching fever pitch, it is poised to dominate the box office upon its release.
