Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi went on a slam journey against Narendra Modi’s government. He questioned them on the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on vaccines accusing them of being “greedy”.
Rahul Gandhi Thrashes PM Modi Over GST on Covid 19 Vaccines
He took to Twitter and wrote the tweet in hindi. He said that lives may get lost but the Prime Minister collecting taxes should not be lost. His remarks came after many of the Congress ruled states in India questioned the government over te 5 percent GST being levied on the Covid 19 vaccinations.
With the five percent GST, the state governments will have to pay Rs 15-20 extra per dose to the Central government. The Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh have stood up against the move to collect GST on Covid 19 vaccines especially, the ones that are being manufactured in India.

Along with them, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also wrote the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharam. In the letter, he requested her to waiver off the GST on Covid 19 vaccines.
Rahul Gandhi Slams Government Over Early Covid 19 Victory
On Friday, Rahul Gandhi wrote a letter to PM Modi. In the letter, he said that the government was partially responsible for the second wave of coronavirus as they had declared early victory when the cases started to come down.
He said that the government needs to have a strategic plan in place for vaccination distribution and have everyone vaccinated before its too late. He said in times like these, government’s priority should be saving the lives of the citizens.

In the letter he also suggested that seeing the rise in the number of Covid 19 cases in the second wave, another national lockdown is inevitable. He urged him to do everything in his power to save the people of the country from this pandemic virus.
