Rahul Gandhi Takes A Jab At Modi Government; Supports Complete Lockdown Nationwide

Amidst the rising death toll because of Covid 19, Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi slammed the Narendra Modi Government. He accused them for “inaction” as the citizens continue to lose the battle against Covid 19.

Rahul Gandhi Encourages Complete Lockdown

As per the latest reports, Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter to slam the Modi government. He said that because of Modi government’s inaction in the current crisis, people are losing their lives and the ones of their loved ones. He further suggested that the only way to stop the spread of the Coronavirus is to impose a complete lockdown across the country. Along with the protection to vulnerable communities under the NYAY scheme.
“Government of India’s inaction is killing many innocent people,” he tweeted.

However, this isn’t the first time when Rahul Gandhi has expressed his opinions about the Central Government’s handling of the Covid 19 situation. Last Saturday, he said that the entire world is shaken by the situation in India and further accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of “dropping the ball and throwing it to states”.

He said that the government took credit for winning the battle against Covid 19 when the country was moving towards the second wave. Furthermore, he said that the situation has gone completely out of control and the Modi government is reportedly preparing the citizens and the states to be “Aatmnirbhar”.

Gandhi further said that the scientists repeatedly warned against the pandemic virus but the party continued to hold election campaigns. He accused the party of encouraging “super spreader events”.

Delhi Positivity Rate Stands Over 29 Percent

Delhi recorded 18,043 new Covid 19 cases on Monday along with 448 deaths. The total death toll of the national capital currently stands at 17,414 and the total number of Covid cases stands at 1,212,989. The positivity rate stands at 29.56 percent
