Rape case assused left fake suicide note to mislead the police

The tragic rape case of a 6-year-old in Uttar Pradesh (UP) took a twisted turn when some clothes and a suicide note were found near a river, reportedly left by the prime accused. They later got hold of the man and arrested him.

The man, identified as Dalpat, had set up the fake suicide mirage as a way to convince the police that he had in fact died so that the case gets closed. However, his actions proved futile after the police said that it didn’t believe the suicide note and the put up scene even a percent. Yet, they did still order an underwater search operation to find any dead body and evidently, none was found.

The probe started after a 6-year-old, whose identity has been protected, was kidnapped by an assailant riding a bike a week back from GarhMukhteshwar area, Hapur, about 100 km from the national capital.

According to eye-witnesses, the kidnapper seemed to a known person to the family as he did not lure the girl or forced her and she felt safe to go to him.

After her parents were not able to find her, they launched a search mission for the missing girl, joined by their relatives and tons of villagers. After searching hysterically for 12 hours, they found the girl lying in an unconscious state in the bushes of the forest. She was soaked in blood and in a very serious condition.

The girl was immediately rushed to the local hospital which then referred her to the LalaLajpatRai Memorial Medical College as she required surgeries and confirmed that she was raped.

The angry villagers started trying to find them guilty in the forest but couldn’t get a grip on him. Based on the statements of the girl’s parents and neighbors, the police were able to get a picture of the accused sketched. The photo was circulated in public to accelerate the hunt.

A reward of Rs. 50,000 was also announced by the police for any information pertaining to the accused. Upon knowing this, the rapist faked his suicide to misguide the police by leaving some clothes and a rapist suicide note near the river in which he wanted the cops to believe he has jumped. In the note, he wrote that he was aware of the reward being offered on him and as he did not want to die in a police encounter, he is taking his own life.

Understanding his trick, the police started search missions for him in Hapur and the adjoining areas since the last one week.

The victim is currently being treated at the hospital in Meerut. According to the police, she has mutilated organs as the brutal act left her with severe injuries to the private parts.

“Her private parts have been significantly damaged. It can’t be immediately treated as the tissues got scattered. A separate tube has been surgically placed to ensure disposal of fecal matter,” a doctor from the LLRMH said.

One surgery has been performed on the child until now but she is told to need several more. Even while her condition is reportedly stable, doctors said that she is still not out of danger.
Days before this incident, a 12-year-old was assaulted in Delhi. The girl, who is undergoing treatment at AIIMS, was inhumanly tortured with a pair of scissors.

According to reports, she was assaulted inside her home. The attacker has been arrested and is in police custody.
