Actress Rashmika Mandanna, known for her captivating screen presence, recently suffered an injury while working out at the gym. This unfortunate incident has led to a temporary halt in the shooting schedules of her much-anticipated film Sikandar and other upcoming projects. A source close to Rashmika revealed, “Rashmika sustained an injury in the gym and has been recovering well with proper rest. While this has caused a brief pause in her shooting schedules, she is already feeling much better and eager to return to work.”
The injury has momentarily delayed the production of Sikandar, where Rashmika stars opposite Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film also features Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar. Sikandar is set to hit theatres on Eid 2025 and promises to be a major cinematic spectacle.

Despite the setback, Rashmika’s packed slate continues to generate excitement. She will star in The Girlfriend, a romantic drama directed by Rahul Ravindran, alongside Dheekshith Shetty, Rao Ramesh, and Rohini. The film’s teaser, unveiled in December by her rumored boyfriend Vijay Deverakonda, has already garnered much attention.
Rashmika is also part of Chhaava, a historical drama starring Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Rashmika will portray Yesubai Bhonsale, Sambhaji Maharaj’s wife. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on February 14, 2025.
