Resounding success of KCR meet sending shockwaves to Opposition, says Karne Prabhakar

Hyderabad: Claiming that his party’s Pragathi Nivedana Sabha on Sunday was a roaring success, TRS MLC Karne Prabhakar today said while the entire country was eulogizing KCR government for its unique welfare schemes and monumental developmental programs, the main Opposition Congress party was leveling mean allegations due to political animosity.

Speaking to mediapersons at Telangana Bhavan today, Prabhakar said while Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was burning midnight oil to introduce more welfare schemes to benefit the people, the Opposition parties were making baseless allegations and earning people’s ire. Stating that there was no need for TRS to forcibly bring people to the meeting, Karne said the Congress meeting was utter flop with a few people turned up there.

Referring to the claims of Opposition parties that Sunday’s public meeting of KCR was an utter flop, Karne said the Pragathi Nivedana Sabha has created a record in Indian political history and it was aimed to explain about the development carried out by the State during 50 months of its rule so far. He said the Opposition parties were unable to digest the meeting’s fantastic success and were making false statements on the number of people at the meeting. “People from across the State rushed to the meeting a day ahead. It was grand success with more than 25 lakh party workers and supporters reaching the venue and blessing the government,” he said.

Prabhakar explained that the party had initially decided to make arrangements in 1,200 acres for the meet, but following indications from districts, extended the arrangements to 2,200 acres of which 1,700 acres were allocated for parking of vehicles alone. He advised TPCC Uttam Kumar Reddy to read reports in Monday’s newspapers on Pragathi Nivedana Sabha before calling it a failure with a low turnout of supporters.

TSIIC Chairman Gadari Balmallu dared the Congress to hold a similar meeting. The Chief Minister did so systematically to tell the people about his government’s achievements and not to focus on Opposition parties,” he said. TRS leader Gattu Ramchandra Rao said the rally was grand success and people came voluntarily to the meeting. (NSS)
