The cops decided to take the management to court and issue a show-cause notice. According to the GHMC’s Assistant Food Controller, Gaddam Naveen filed a complaint with the Food Safety wing, claiming that he discovered a lizard while eating chicken biryani given in a parcel by the restaurant.

Following the complaint, food safety authorities inspected the restaurant’s kitchen and took a sample of the biryani. They took a sample of lizard-infested biryani and sent it to the State Food Laboratory. The police discovered that the food workers were not wearing gloves, a hairnet, or masks throughout the inspection.
