Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at a farmhouse allegedly owned by IT & MA&UD Minister K Tarakarama Rao at Janwada village in Ranga Reddy district when Congress MP A. Revanth Reddy tried to stage a protest demanding immediate demolition of the farmhouse for violation of norms.
Revanth Reddy was accompanied by a former MP and several party leaders and activists. Police arrested Revanth and others causing uproar among his supporters and followers. They raised slogans against the State government and ruling TRS leaders and the Police department.
Speaking on the occasion, Revanth Reddy alleged that KTR had built a palatial farmhouse at a cost of Rs 25 crore on a 25-acre land in violation of GO No 111 issued by the State government. He also alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and his son K Tarakarama Rao had also violated Centre’s rules in the issue. He said the farmhouse was constructed en route Gandipet and was located in sy !nos 301,302, 313 and 313 of the village. He alleged that KTR registered the farmhouse in the name of his close friends and family members and added that it was spread across 1 lakh sq.ft area and comprising of three floors. had He said both father and son were leading a luxurious life in their farmhouses? Reddy took media delegation to the area to expose the irregularities being committed by the state minister. During the melee that occurred following the entry of the police, former MP Konda Visweswar reddy sustained injuries on his toes. Revanth entered into an argument with the police and asked them as to what problem they had when he was addressing the press meet on private land.
