January 25th, 2020

Hyderabad: Congress MP from Malkajgiri A. Revanth Reddy today congratulated his party workers and leaders for working hard for the victory of the party in the just concluded municipal elections.

Making it clear that his party would treat wins and losses in the same manner, Revanth alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao resorted to blackmailing rival party leaders to win the elections. He also alleged that the CM had threatened his cabinet ministers that they would lose their posts if the party had been defeated in the elections.

Alleging that the ruling party leaders had filed fake cases against the Congress leaders as part of their blackmailing tactics, Revanth Reddy ridiculed that the CM has no love and belief in the people and the voters but he reposed his faith in money and police of the State. He said the ruling TRS party had not talked about its development programs in its election manifesto.

Targeting the State Election Commission as to why it did not take action against ministers Errabelli  Dayakar Rao, KTR, Chamakura Malla Reddy and Gangula Kamalakar for violating the code of conduct, Revanth Reddy said the TRS did not get even 50 percent of seats in 25 municipalities and alleged that the ruling party leaders were claiming that the TRS had won those municipalities as well.

Pointing out that 10 rebels of the TRS from Siricilla and six from Gajwel had won the elections, Revanth Reddy said soon the State government would increase the electricity charges and house taxes in the State. He also predicted that the State government would also charge four times of the current water charges for availing Mission Bhageeratha water. He also made it clear that his party would continue to fight on behalf of the people of the State.
