Revanth Reddy Faces Demand for Apology Over Alleged Threats Against Police

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Sravan Dasoju has demanded an apology from Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief A Revanth Reddy for allegedly making threatening remarks against police employees. A video recently appeared in which Revanth Reddy allegedly claimed that the names of specific police officers are listed in a ‘Red Diary,’ and that when the Congress party takes power in the state, these officials will face consequences.

Revanth Reddy’s words, according to Sravan Dasoju, were awful, savage, and irresponsible in a democratic country. He accused Revanth of acting like a seasoned criminal and questioned the All India Congress Committee (AICC) leadership’s silence in the face of his repeated unlawful conduct and deadly threats.

Sravan demanded that the TPCC chief give an unqualified apology to the police after he earlier threatened and ridiculed several social groups, including SCs, STs, OBCs, and transgenders.

Sravan further said that MP Rahul Gandhi’s slogan of ‘Nafrat ke Bazar me Mohabbat ka Dukaan’ (A shop of love in a marketplace of hatred) is contradicted by his support for Revanth, whom he accuses of spreading a “politics of hatred” in Telangana.

Revanth Reddy is charged with three counts of threatening the police. These FIRs were filed in various police stations, including Nagarkurnool, Boothpur, and Jadcherla, under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
