Hyderabad: Congress party MP A. Revanth Reddy today held a dharna program before Kukatpally zonal Commissioner office of GHMC demanding compensation to all the affected families of the recent floods in the state capital along with his party workers.
Speaking on the occasion, he alleged that the ruling Party leaders had siphoned off the compensation meant for the victims of the floods. He also pledged that the compensation was given only to the ruling TRS party workers and its sympathizers. He also alleged that several irregularities had taken place in the distribution of the relief.
He warned the officials that they would go to jail if they approached the court on the issue and asked them to discharge their duties without succumbing to the pressure of the ruling party leaders.
Reddy said that the poor people of the state capital had lost everything in the floods and added that they were looking for compensation from the state government. He demanded the state government to pay compensation to all the victims of the floods. Revanth Reddy
