Finance Minister T Harish Rao instructed the bankers to disburse fresh loans to farmers in the state.
At the 29th banker meeting with officials and bankers here, Harish Rao said that Rs 1.86 lakhs Cr are approved for the Annual Credit Plan for farmers. This amount has to be given as loans to the farmers without any further delay. Amid Corona protocols, the bankers gave good services and the Government plans to give vaccines to the banking staff in a special drive he said.
The Finance Minister expressed hope that the bankers will not divert funds of loans towards arrears from the farmers. The Government gave about Rs 7300 Cr to 61 lakhs of farmers in just one week under Rythu Bandhu financial services scheme. Thus scheme he said is helping the poor farmers for Kharif crops.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been implementing the flagship programs for the benefit of the farmers. The banks should not take loan amount towards arrears as they can purchase, seeds, fertilizers for crops he repeated.
The minister said that the farmers will be encouraged to sow oil palm, millers, and crops that will get the additional income. The Government speeds up the construction of food processing zones in the districts Harish Rao said.
