New Delhi: Several Dalit and Tribal Associations have staged protest at Parliament Street demanding the Centre to include the SC, ST Atrocities Act to be included in 9th Schedule. MRPS founder president Manda Krishna Madiga, Congress leaders Addanki Dayakar, Bellaiah Naik participated in the program.
Speaking on the occasion, Addanki called upon the SCs and STs to make Simha Garjana to be held on August 8 to mount pressure on central government a big success. He demanded the centre to pass the bill and include it in 9th schedule. Manda Krishna demanded the centre to pass the SC, ST Atrocity Act bill in the ongoing monsoon session and warned that the centre will taste the ire of the SCs and STs in case it failed to pass the bill before August 10.
