Sculpture College in Ramapppa Temple : TRS MLA

Hyderabad: TRS MLA Pochampally Srinivas Reddy today said that a Sculpture College will be set up soon in Ramappa Temple in Warangal district.

Along with TRS MP, Joginipally Santhosh Kumar, and others, he made a visit to a wing of statues in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and took stock of the sculptures and statues.

The ruling party leader informed the media that the state government plans to set up a Sculpture College in the state of Telangana. We will submit a detailed report to chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in this regard. On taking his consent the officials will take necessary steps and activities for the same college he said.

The MLA stated that Ramappa a sculptor had created wonders of statues by gods in the temple which is named after him. Now the temple will get its own sculpture college to flourish in the cultural field. The government is to take steps for the development of the Ramappa temple and adjoining areas as the major tourist destination with all steps.

The MLA said that KCR is keen for the development of the temple on par with others who are noted and getting a huge number of tourists. Modern tourist facilities will be provided at the Ramappa temple and attract the tourists and devotees in a big way, he added.
