Governor, Dr. Tamilisai Soundara Rajan said that the services provided by the Nurses during emergencies in any hospital for the treatment of patients and saving their lives are most important. She said, during emergencies, the nurses remain alert for 24 hours and give case reports to the doctors, and give required medicine and services to the patients.
On the occasion of the convocation of the first batch of the B.Sc. Nursing students of Bansilal Malanai College of Nursing of Mahila Dakshita Samithi at Birla Science Auditorium, today, the Governor has participated as Chief guest, the Governor praised Mahila Dakshita Samithi providing quality higher and professional education to the girls from the rural areas particularly the services being rendered by the President of the Institute Saroj Bajaj particularly giving quality education to the girls coming the poor family. She said it is not easy for girls coming from poor family achieving higher education. She said that there is a need for the government to give assistance to these girls’ students by bringing some relaxation in the rules.
Governor said that when she was doing the Medicine course, she learned much from the senior Nurses, she said that still treats the staff nurse as her first teacher. She said during the Coronavirus pandemic, the services of the nurses are exemplary as they have saved the lives of lakhs of patients.
However, the Governor has expressed concern about the incident which took place in Malakpet Govt hospital in which two infants died, she said that there is a need for the Nurses to strengthen their services while taking care of the patients, she has suggested the Nurses perform the services keeping in view of providing best care facilities to the patients.
The Governor also praised the former Chief Secretary Vinod K.Agarwal for the establishment of college and added that the sacrifice made by him has become a grown-up tree and given fruit.
Mahila Dakshita Samithi Education Society, president Dr. Saroj Bajaj has briefed the aims and objectives of the Institute and added since the last 4 decades, this organization is providing higher and professional education to rural girls freely, particularly in those communities where girls could not go to the colleges for the higher education for such students, the Society is providing hostel facilities. So far about 7,000 girls were successful in their courses and also achieved merit.
Dr. Sachin Daga has said still there are no proper facilities for girls from rural areas of achieving higher education. the students should remember that being Nurses, their services are most important for the community and the country. For providing proper medicine to the patient, the role of the nurses is important in advising the doctors in giving the treatment
