On Thursday, police discovered the decomposed body of the young woman at an old, abandoned postal bungalow near Gosain Ganj railway station. The grim discovery was made after the victim’s mother received an anonymous phone call informing her about her daughter’s body lying near the railway station. The caller, who later turned out to be the accused, claimed that the girl was haunting him in his dreams, which led him to feel guilty and confess to the crime.
Upon identifying her daughter’s body, the mother reported the incident to the authorities, leading to a police investigation. The police swiftly acted on the information and arrested two youths in connection with the murder. Initial investigations revealed that the murder was driven by a romantic relationship turned sour.
