Hyderabad: MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao today asked Mahbubnagar municipal chairman and other members and officials to focus on development as part of Pattana Pragati. “Shun politics and develop all the wards by a plan of action and spending funds. This is our town, we got statehood for all-round development”, he said.
KTR participated in some development works along with minister V Srinivas Goud and officials. He made a walk on Patha Thota area and interacted with the local people. He asked the elderly persons on whether they were getting benefits under welfare schemes like pensions, Kalyana Lakshmi and others. Later at a public meeting, KTR said 90 percent of old-aged persons were getting pensions and others eligible will also be given.
The minister said the chairman, members, and officials should work together for development. “We will complete works in a phased manner, including drainage, roads and community development. The program aims at sanitation, greenery, planned development, and improved services”, he added.
Stating that he will return in a few days again to check the completion of the works, KTR asked the officials to ensure the transparent and speedy delivery of services. All the officials were instructed to coordinate with the elected representatives to complete the works of development. The towns should turn green and developed in two weeks, he added.
