Software Engineer Killed While Preventing Theft in Bibinagar Railway Station

A 25-year-old software engineer called Muppa Srikanth was killed in a terrible incident near Bibinagar railway station while attempting to prevent criminals from stealing his mobile phone. Srikanth had boarded the Satavahana Express from Secunderabad and was on his way to his village, Nerella, in the Hanamkonda district’s Kamalapur mandal.

Srikanth was standing at the railway door due to overcrowding. A bandit standing along the rails whacked his hands with a stick while he was distracted by his phone. Srikanth fell off the train and unfortunately collided with it in an attempt to save his falling phone, resulting in his death.

Srikanth worked for a well-known IT firm in Hyderabad. This incident demonstrates the unintended effects of attempted thievery as well as the dangers of crowded train travel.
