South Korea Patient Dies After AstraZeneca Vaccine Shot

While the countries across the world are looking forward to vaccinating their citizens, South Korea has reported a death. Reports suggest that a long-term patient died after receiving the shot of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Patient’s Health Deteriorated

As per the reports, the patient was admitted to the hospital for a long time in South Korea. He reportedly got vaccinated on Tuesday morning, a day before his death. However, soon after he started to show symptoms of heart failure and reported difficulty in breathing. But he recovered and was put under emergency care.

Reports further suggest that the symptoms started to recur on Wednesday morning.

Health Officers Yet To Determine Cause Behind Death

The health officials from South Korea are yet to determine if the patient died by the side effects of the vaccine. The patient’s health reports suggest that he already had underlying concerns like health problems, diabetes and had a stroke before being admitted to the hospital.

At the same time, AstraZeneca hasn’t responded to the incident yet.

Other reports released by the media suggest that one shot of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine is likely to reduce the risk of being hospitalised against the Coronavirus. The Public Health officials informed the Minister in UK that the results from the vaccines Pfizer and Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines have been remarkable. But the British ones seem to be more effective.
