In 1995, Yash Chopra’s son Aditya Chopra made his directorial debut with the film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, which is fondly referred to as ‘DDLJ’. In the movie, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol emerged as Bollywood’s romantic heartthrobs.

It has also been praised for its beautiful European settings, Punjab’s mustard fields, and its songs. The actor will next be seen in Yash Raj Films’ ‘Pathaan.’ The spy thriller, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, will be released on January 25.

DDLJ, or Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, directed by Aditya Chopra and starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, heralded a new wave of romantic musicals in the Hindi film industry as well as a push for European tourism, particularly to the snow-capped Swiss Alps. The film became an instant cult classic and solidified SRK’s reputation as the new superstar on the horizon, pushing him into Bollywood’s A-list.

SRK said on the moment, “DDLJ has been an extremely special film for me. I am grateful for all the love I have been receiving over the years for the film. Bringing it back on my birthday just makes it more special. Thank you!”
