Hyderabad: The High Court today said the stay granted by it on the demolition of existing Secretariat buildings will continue until a final decision was taken by the State cabinet on architectural designs, plans, budget estimates of the proposed new Secretariat complex.
A division bench also directed the State government not to disturb the existing structures until further orders of the Court. It also wondered as to why the State government was in a hurry to demolish the existing structures when it has not taken final decision on structural plans, designs of the proposed new Secretariat buildings. The Court made these remarks while dealing with a batch of PILs filed against the demolition of existing Secretariat buildings filed by different persons, including Congress MP A. Revanth Reddy.
