Telangana SC Welfare Minister K Eshwar today emphasized the need for checking atrocities on SC and STs. SC and ST atrocities prevention Acts have to be implemented strictly, Eshwar said.
The Minister addressed a monitoring committee meeting with officials here and sought that stringent measures will be taken against violations. Eshwar said that those who were involved in atrocities should get serious action.
Telangana state is implementing the act better and we need to strengthen the same to check the cases, he said. Union minister Ramdas appreciated us for allotting Rs 100 crore to provide some compensation to the victims in the cases. Provide immediate justice to the victims and ensure they get support from the government besides checking the incidents, he said.

He instructed the top officials and police officials to check the atrocities and ensure they come down drastically. Our aim is to see that the victims get some help and action against culprits, he said.
