Strive to improve facilities in Gurukul schools & hostels, Kamalakar tells officials

Hyderabad: BC Welfare Minister G Kamalakar today instructed the officials concerned to make joint efforts to improve facilities in the Gurukul schools and hostels across the State. The minister also announced that a decision was taken to launch KCR Apathbandhu Ambulance Services in the districts.

A group of five unemployed youths of the MBC category will get an ambulance to provide immediate services to people, he said while holding a high-level review meeting on the welfare schemes,  Pattana Pragathi program, and employment through community professions. The BC Corporation will provide the ambulance facility to youths, he said, adding that the ambulance services will be started on a pilot project. He also said the officials should make field level visits to find about facilities in the welfare hostels and gurukul schools. “Ensure that all of these hostels get necessary facilities”, he suggested.

The minister also said it was decided to provide training to some 10,000 women in tailoring and give them sewing machines. He also directed that training be given through NIFT to educated youth to get employment. Kamalakar said 11 corporations will plan a strategy to provide employment to youth through necessary training and skills. As per the vision of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s ideals of Bangaru Telangana, employment to youth would be generated by the corporations. He also said regular welfare officials and employees would be appointed for the purpose.
