Hyderabad : An Intermediate girl student of Sri Chaitanya College was run over by a bus of the same college at Kukatpally here this morning.The victim was identified as Ramya, a resident of Jagadgirigutta. The incident occurred when the driver of the bus crossing the zebra crossing at Kukatpally BJP office and tried to turn on to the other side of the road. She suffered grievous injuries and died on the spot.
The students of the college alleged that the driver was speaking on the phone while crossing the road.The enraged students broke wind shields of the bus and agitated on the national highway causing traffic jam and the situation remained tense. On receipt of the information, the police rushed to the spot and pacified the students. Traffic police regulated the traffic.
