The scenic Ananthagiri Hills in Vikarabad district is experiencing a significant increase in visitors, particularly during the monsoon season. This surge has led to frequent traffic jams, especially on weekends, as tourists flock to the popular viewpoint and other attractions in the area.
The Vikarabad Circle Inspector, in an interview with media person, reported that round-the-clock police patrolling has been implemented to manage the situation. “Police outposts have been set up, and we are patrolling 24/7,” he said. “Traffic jams usually occur on weekends but typically clear within about 10 minutes.”
In addition to the Ananthagiri Hills viewpoint, the district’s Kotepalli Reservoir and the Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple are also drawing large numbers of visitors. Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant during their visits to these sites to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow.
