Tarnaka to have a nursing college established by TSRTC

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is establishing a College of Nursing in the TSRTC Hospital, Tarnaka, beginning with the 2022-23 academic year.

TSRTC Chairman Bajireddy Goverdhan and VC&MD, VC Sajjanar stated in a press release that the University of Health Sciences Telangana and Nursing Council have granted registration and affiliation, and that the academic year will begin this month, March.

Every year, the college will begin with a 50-seat intake, with 30 seats reserved for convenors and 20 reserved for management quota. According to the release, the college will begin with all amenities such as professional and experienced faculty, modern infrastructure, spacious classrooms, laboratories, and a hospital under one roof.

Telangana health profile to be finished in two months

In other news, the Telangana health profile, the state government’s flagship programme, will be completed in two months, and digital health cards will be issued to all citizens, said Health Minister T Harish Rao. He stated that the state government was committed to establishing a medical and nursing college in each of the state’s 33 districts.

Following a request from Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, he assured that a medical and nursing college would be established in Khammam district in accordance with government policy.

He made this assurance during a budget discussion in the State Assembly. In response to a question from MIM MLA Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala about the Osmania General Hospital building, the Minister stated that a case was pending in the High Court and that the government was ready to begin construction as soon as the case was resolved.
