In the midst of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has stated that it will provide free bus services from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad to wherever in the state for returning students.
Hundreds of Indian students have been stranded in the war-torn country since Ukraine closed its airspace following Russia’s aggression. Telangana students are being given free tickets on the orders of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. To assist students, the New Delhi Telangana Bhavan has set up necessary measures such as special control rooms.

According to TSRTC managing director VC Sajjanar, the facility will remain open until all of the Ukrainian students return home.
Data shows 53 Telangana students were brought back safely from Ukraine
Between February 26 and 28, 53 Telangana students studying at various universities throughout Ukraine were evacuated and returned to the state. The state government has set up preparations for the picking up of students from the state at the airports in New Delhi and Mumbai.
The government is also arranging for them to fly to Hyderabad. At the airports, a special team led by an IAS official has been assigned to receive students. Officials are also keeping in touch with Telangana students who are still in Ukraine.

Train delays, cancellations, and long lines were expected as a result of the situation in Ukraine, according to Indian Embassy officials. Students in the eastern European country were also encouraged to travel in groups and to bring their passports, cash, ready-to-eat meals, winter clothes, and other necessities.
