Task Force teams formed to take on unauthorized constructions/layouts

Making a firm stand against illegal constructions and layouts, the Rangareddy Collector has formed a total 16 District Task Force (DTF) and Enforcement Squads to take on unlawful construction activities in the district.

Consisting of officials from Revenue, Police, Roads and Building and Fire Services, these teams were conferred with the task to identify and monitor unauthorized constructions and layouts to take impromptu action against the violators and errant officials.

These task force teams have been reinforced by involving local town planning officials who would assist the District Task Force in comprehending technical aspects like building rules and provisions of Municipality act.

The concerned Revenue Divisional Officer would be the leader of the enforcement team while the Town Planning Officer of the local ULB has been included as a member convener. The Task Force Teams were instructed to conduct inspections, take timely enforcement actions.

According to sources, the task force teams will be in full swing in a few days as all the data of unauthorized structures and layouts have been collected and examined. The enforcement teams will rein-in unlawful constructions and the layouts as per the rules laid under the Telangana Municipal Act 2019 and ensure check and balance system.
