Telangana Cm Revived Community Professions: Srinivas Goud

Excise, Sports Minister V Srinivas Goud today stated that community professions including Goudas are getting good support from the government in Telangana state.

He visited a farm location of toddy trees Metpally in Jagital district with MLA Vidya Sagar Rao. The minister interacted with toddy tappers and sought to know about their issues and well-being. The Minister encouraged them by scratching a tree to get toddy.

Later the excise Minister claimed that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has revived community professions. He said that about 4 crore saplings of today were planted during Haritha Haram drives. This gave confidence to the Gouda community to get a better government income he said.

In Telangana we are able to get more benefits to Goudas by canceling arrears and professional tax, he said. By removing taxes and financial burden the KCR Government offers support to Goudas, he said.

It is great relief for Goudas as the government provides immediate financial assistance if any tapper loses a life. Our government has increased exgratia from Rs 2 lakhs to Rs 5 lakh for the Gouda family.

The government is offering seamless services and several welfare schemes like no other state. He stated that the young state spends a whopping  Rs 45000 cr for welfare alone, he said.

The previous governments’ before bifurcation ignored these community professions. However, after the formation of Telangana state KCR revived them and gives financial aid.
