The much-awaited DSC exams have commenced in Telangana today and will continue until August 5. A total of 2,79,957 candidates are appearing for the exams, marking the first DSC exams held in the state since 2017. The exams are being conducted in two sessions daily: the first session runs from 9 am to 11:30 am and the second session from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. Each day, 26,000 candidates will take the exams, with approximately 13,000 candidates in each session.
In preparation for the exams, the School Education Department has made extensive arrangements, establishing 54 examination centers across all 14 districts in the state. To ensure smooth conduct, gates at the exam centers will close 10 minutes before the scheduled start time, and candidates have been advised to arrive at least one and a half hours prior to the exam due to biometric verification requirements. Notably, this year marks the first time that DSC exams are being conducted online, signifying a major shift in the examination process.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy extended his best wishes to all the candidates taking the DSC exams. He emphasized the significance of the exams as a crucial step for those aspiring to pursue a career in teaching and contribute to shaping the future citizens of India.
