On Thursday, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) announced free transportation for constable candidates.
The TSRTC is making special arrangements for the preliminary examinations for the constable post to be held on August 28. Aspirants will not face challenges due to a lack of transportation facilities, according to the corporation. Exams will be conducted between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
A set of guidelines has been issued to all depot managers regarding the arrangements ahead of the exam. A total of 6,61,196 candidates will take the exam, including 502,266 females and 1,58,930 males, according to VC Sajjanar, managing director of the TSRTC.
In addition, Sajjanar said that special arrangements will be made for candidates who use TSRTC services. Telangana bus depot managers have been directed to ensure passenger safety.

TSRTC bus-tracking mobile app launched
Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has introduced a TSRTC bus tracking mobile app to provide passengers with info on the expected time of arrival (ETA) of buses as well as the ability to track them.
TSRTC chairman Bajireddy Govardhan and managing director V C Sajjanar announced that 96 depots across the state, as well as 4,170 special type buses, have been distinguished for the implementation of bus-tracking and to provide ETA of services for the convenience of passengers, according to a TSRTC release.
According to the app, it will help passengers know the arrival and departure times of buses at various stops across Telangana and neighboring states where TSRTC services are available so that passengers can plan their travel to prevent waiting time at bus stops/stations.
He went on to say that in a few months, all reservation services and special type services from the district as well as Hyderabad city would be added to the app. Passengers can use the app to search for bus services and use TSRTC emergency services such as the women’s helpline, as well as report breakdowns and accidents, according to the release.
