Junior College Dasara Holidays:
- Telangana junior colleges will be closed from October 19 to October 25.
- On October 26, all junior colleges, including private unaided institutions, will reopen.
- The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TS BIE) has said that no special courses would be held during this time.
Dasara School Holidays:
- Telangana schools are preparing for a 13-day break as part of the Dasara celebrations.
- These are the first short-term breaks of the current academic year.
- Schools will be closed from October 13 to October 25.
- From October 5 to 11, schools in the state will perform summative assessment-1 before the commencement of the Dasara vacations.
Other Observances:
- In addition to school vacations, the Telangana government has proclaimed October 24 as a Dasara holiday for all citizens.
- Bathukamma, a local celebration, begins on October 14, which is also a holiday.
- Two extra holidays have been declared for Durgashtami and Maharnavami, respectively, on October 22 and 23, however they are designated as ‘optional holidays.’
