Telangana extends lockdown in GHMC limits till July 31

Hyderabad: Telangana Government today announced that lockdown is being extended in containment zones till July 31.

Relaxations are being offered to people, traffic movement, vehicles, businesses, trade, and shops that are existing so far.  For several days there was talk of fresh lockdown as the positive cases are on a steep rise in the City.  The government planned to conduct a cabinet to decide on this. Health Minister E Rajender said that the Cabinet will meet and take a decision about the lockdown. Though without the cabinet the government has taken a decision in this regard.

The state government has said that the fresh lockdown is being reimposed as per Home Ministry guidelines.  The lockdown will be strictly implemented in containment zones in the GHMC area wherever the cases are more reported day by day. The officials and collectors were asked to strictly implement the lockdown norms. The people are allowed to buy essentials in their localities till 9.30 pm.  All the shops,  business,  trade, and others will be shut by 9.30 pm as per fresh orders.

Chief Secretary, Somesh Kumar has issued orders and fresh guidelines on the lockdown in containment zones.  Mainly the lockdown is coming with immediate effect in the GHMC area of containment zones which are showing more cases.  The curfew will remain in all areas as usual from 10 pm to 5 am.  While only emergency services will be allowed in containment zones in GHMC limits.  Every day near about 1000 cases being tested positive giving panic to people.  The Government is taking all measures to contain the virus spread.
