Telangana Government Employees Meet Chief Minister to Discuss Demands

A group of officials from several employee organizations, including TNGO and TGO, recently met with Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) in Hyderabad to discuss their demands and concerns.

The formation of a second Pay Revision Commission (PRC) to evaluate and revise the pay of government employees was one of the delegation’s primary requests. They issued a memorandum stating their demands, which included the declaration of interim relief (IR) beginning July 1 prior to the receipt of the PRC report.

The group stressed the importance of justice for contract and outsourced government personnel. They encouraged the government to take proper action to address their worries and difficulties.

In addition to wage increases, the delegates urged the establishment of a trust to protect government employees’ health. They advocated for the development of an Employees Health Scheme (EHS) to ensure that government employees have access to high-quality medical care.

Another key demand made by the delegation was the abolition of the central government-enacted Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS). They asked the state government to take the appropriate steps to address the problem and protect the interests of government employees.

Furthermore, the delegation asked an order transferring to the Bhagyanagar NGO Housing Society the land granted to employees in Gopanpalli Survey No. 37-36 in Rangareddy district.

During the meeting, Chief Minister KCR allegedly responded favourably to the delegation’s memorandum. He assured them that all issues stated will be resolved quickly and expressed his willingness to meet with employee unions in the near future to discuss the issues further. The meeting ended with the hope of finding a suitable answer to the requests and concerns of Telangana’s government employees.
