Telangana Government’s Initiative: Providing 1.17 Million Free Notebooks for Students’ Academic Success

In the upcoming academic year (2023-2024), the Telangana government plans to provide roughly 1.17 million free notebooks worth Rs 56.24 crore to government school students. This initiative intends to support the education of approximately 12,39,415 students who attend government and local body schools, Model Schools, TREIS, Urban Residential Schools, and KGBVs

The proper distribution of notebooks will differ according to grade level. Students in Class VIII will receive seven notebooks, while students in Classes IX and X will receive fourteen notebooks. Intermediate students in education department-run residential schools will receive a notebook in either 12 or 10 volumes. Furthermore, approximately 11,27,457 kids from grades I to V would receive a total of 33,82,371 free workbooks at a cost of Rs 34.70 crore.

The Telangana government’s project aims to equip students with vital educational materials, ensuring that they have the tools they need to enhance their learning and academic advancement.
