Telangana Govt regularises 567 contract teachers on Teacher’s day

The Telangana Government, led by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, has taken a significant step by issuing orders to regularize the employment of 567 Contract Teachers who have dedicated 16 years of service in Telangana Social Welfare Department’s Gurukula schools.

Furthermore, the government has also announced a 12-month salary, basic pay, and six months of maternity leave for contract teachers working in the Gurukulams of the Social Welfare Department.

In conjunction with these developments, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao extended his warm greetings to the entire teaching community on the occasion of Teacher’s Day, which is celebrated on September 5th to commemorate the birth anniversary of the former President, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

KCR emphasized the invaluable role teachers play in instilling discipline, elevating students’ awareness, fostering a clear sense of purpose, and helping them achieve their aspirations. He quoted the famous saying, ‘Matru devobhava Pitru devobhava Acharya devobhava,’ which underscores the significance of teachers.

KCR also highlighted the Telangana government’s commitment to the welfare of teachers and the delivery of quality education to students. Telangana has set a remarkable example for the entire nation in the realm of education, taking the lead in nurturing the future generation through quality education.

The Chief Minister pointed out that the government’s efforts to ensure quality education are yielding positive outcomes, with students from government schools in Telangana consistently achieving recognition and excellence at both national and international levels in academics and sports.
