Telangana High Court Directs State Government For COVID-19 Guidelines Amidst Rising Cases

With the rising cases of Covid 19 all across the country, the Telangana High Court has directed the statr health authorities to conduct Covid 19 tests on everyone who arrives from other states.

As per the latest reports, the high court has suggested to only allow the people who have tested negative will be allowed to enter the state. This order comes after the sudden rise in the Covid 19 cases all across the country especially in Maharashtra.

The court has also directed the government to create a committee of experts which will suggest the measures to trace the spread of COVID-19.

Telangana May Not Have Another Lockdown

Reports suggest that there might not be another lockdown to be imposed in Telangana. But the court suggests to create containment zones in the areas that have sever Covid cases to keep track of the virus.

The Health Department also submitted its reports on testing and the treatment. At the same time, Director General of Police also submitted a report on actions taken against the people who didn’t follow the Covid guidelines.

The DGP in the report informed that 22,000 cases have been booked so far. Around 2416 cases were booked for not following the social distancing rule.

The court also asked the authorities to ensure that social distancing is strictly followed during political meetings and marriages.

They had also asked the state government to release their plans for Covid vaccines to beneficiaries especially at the old age homes.

As of now, the court has asked the government to submit their report by April 14. The hearing is adjourned till April 19.
