Telangana high court extend suspension of judicial work

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court on Saturday extended the ongoing suspension of judicial and administrative work in all the subordinate courts, tribunals, Telangana State Legal Services Authority, mediation and arbitration center, and high court legal services committee and Telangana state judicial academy of the state till September  5.

The Telangana High Court has taken the decision after taking into Consideration the steep rise in the total number of Coronavirus cases in the state and health and safety of the stakeholders.

The registrar general of the Telangana high court in an official notification, however, said that the units of the Heads of the district were at liberty to open the courts and in a physical manner wherever there is a possibility after consulting the administrative judges of their respective districts and after taking into the member of the bar associations, judicial officers employees into confidence by following guidelines mentioned in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the High Court on June 8.

He said that the cases which were listed up to August 05, 2020, next would be automatically adjourned en-block to a working day after one month.

The High Court has asked the judicial officers of the districts to take up the hearing of the cases ripen for disposal in addition to urgent civil and criminal matters and family courts matters such as petitions for visiting rights and grand of maintenance through video conference during the suspension period.
