Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao attended the groundbreaking ceremony for Bharat Serums Vaccine’s (BSV) new bio-pharmaceutical production plant in Genome Valley. BSV, a well-known name in the pharmaceutical industry, has spent over five decades inventing biological, biotech, and pharmaceutical solutions that safeguard and improve people’s quality of life.
The new factory, which would cost Rs 200 crore, will service both domestic and foreign markets, including regulated areas such as the United States and the European Union. The facility’s installation in Genome Valley, Hyderabad, reinforces the city’s status as the ‘Vaccine Capital of the World.’
Minister KTR greeted BSV with open arms and stressed the strategic significance of this accession to Telangana’s Life Sciences industry. He emphasized the state’s commitment to encouraging large-scale complex manufacturing as part of its objective of creating a $250 billion life sciences ecosystem by 2030. This initiative by BSV not only helps to the state’s economic progress, but it also generates significant job possibilities for its inhabitants.

Minister KTR expressed confidence in Telangana’s capacity to create a favorable environment for rapid industrialisation and job creation through policies and infrastructure.
