Telangana Launches ‘Mee Ticket’ App to Revolutionize Public Ticketing

In a significant step towards enhancing public convenience, the Telangana Department of Electronic Service Delivery (ESD) has unveiled the ‘Mee Ticket’ app. IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu launched the app at the State Secretariat on Thursday, emphasizing its role in streamlining ticketing services for the state’s citizens.

The ‘Mee Ticket’ app simplifies ticketing for Telangana citizens by providing a single platform for booking RTC and Metro tickets, entry to temples, passes for parks and tourist destinations, and more, eliminating the need for long queues.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to effective governance, Minister Sridhar Babu said, “The app integrates various services into one user-friendly platform, ensuring efficient service delivery. Expert input was sought during its development to prioritize user convenience, and future innovations are planned to further enhance the public experience.”

The app is a comprehensive solution covering ticketing for 15 temples, 129 parks, 54 boating destinations, zoos, museums, RTC and Metro services, entertainment zones, community halls, gyms, and sports complexes within Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits.

Key features include:

  • Automated recommendations: The app provides suggestions for nearby attractions based on user location.
  • Secure payments: Users can make hassle-free transactions via UPI without any extra charges.

By offering a centralized platform, the ‘Mee Ticket’ app aims to reduce waiting times and enhance accessibility for tourists and residents alike. This initiative underscores Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s vision for leveraging technology to deliver effective governance and public services.

The app is expected to play a transformative role in improving user experiences across Telangana, setting a benchmark for other states in digital service delivery.
