Telangana: Several districts to receive heavy rains for two days

Several locations in Telangana are likely to experience light to moderate rain or thunderstorms on June 22nd.

There is a possibility that heavy rain will occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Komaram Bheem, Nizamabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Medak, and Kamareddy districts of Telangana.

There is a high probability that thunderstorms accompanied by lighting will occur at isolated places in most districts of Telangana.

A few places in Telangana are also likely to experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers on 23rd June. Various places in Telangana are very likely to experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning.

The southwest monsoon gained strength on Monday night, causing heavy rains in several parts of Telangana.

Heavy rains were recorded on Tuesday in districts such as Mulugu, Kamareddy, Jagtial, and Karimnagar.

Madhapur recorded the highest rainfall of 100.6 mm, followed by Balanagar (76.8 mm), Ferozguda (73.8 mm), and Qutbullahpur (71.8 mm). Jagtial and Sangareddy received 129 and 127 mm of rain, respectively, in some districts.

Some parts of Hyderabad received moderate to heavy rain on Monday night, with rainfall ranging from 50.8 to 92.8 millimeters. In addition to Hyderabad, a few other districts also experienced heavy rainfall.

The Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) reported in its daily weather report that the highest maximum temperature was 39.6 degrees C at Allapalli (Bhadradri Kothagudem) and the lowest minimum temperature was 22.1 degrees C at Veltur (Nagarkurnool).

As far as the GHMC area is concerned, the highest maximum temperature of 36.8 degrees Celsius was recorded at Suleman Nagar, and the lowest minimum temperature was recorded at Vanasthalipuram at 24.2 degrees Celsius.

There were also power outages in several places in the city. Power went out for around 5-6 hours in some areas of the city. The power went out for hours in Balanagar, Ameerpet, Shaikpet, and Nizampet as well. Several frustrated residents posted their grievances on Twitter.
