Telangana State Police Wins Skoch Gold Award for assistance during Covid-19

Hyderabad: The prestigious Skoch Gold award was presented to Telangana State Police for its outstanding contribution and timely support to vulnerable people such as daily wagers, migrant workers, and many others during the devastating period of coronavirus pandemic.

Since Day one of the lockdown, the Telangana State Police had ensured that no child family in the state slept hungrily. To achieve the same, and tackle the disaster in a humane way, the department brought together all the Nodal Police Officers, NGO’s, Corporate bodies, Pharmaceutical companies, Retail agencies, banks, and other organizations under one common group called the- ‘Food Partners’, to serve and assist every family in need.

Rejoicing this moment of achievement, the food partners have joined together to host an hour-long virtual ‘Meet and Greet’ event today to congratulate and appreciate the efforts and support provided by everyone who made this possible. The Additional Director General of Police, Mrs. Swati Lakra, and the Deputy Inspector General of Police, WSW, Sumati Badagula participated in the event and thanked the NGOs and volunteers who worked together to make it happen.

The NGOs, pharmacy companies, and various vital organizations were congratulated for providing selfless efforts at the right time during the pandemic. The representatives of these NGOs expressed their gratitude to all the Telangana State Police officers for demonstrating an example of people-friendly policing and restoring faith in humanity.
