With Women’s Day right around the corner, several events and activities have been planned for International Women’s Day in Hyderabad by various groups, voluntary bodies, and associations. Here are some of the best events to visit to celebrate the spirit of Women’s Day.
Stand-up show only for the female audience
On Tuesday, 8 p.m., well-known stand-up comedians Rajashekar Mamidanna and Rohit Swain will perform together at Aaromalé in Film Nagar. This will be a female-only event. The ticket is Rs.349 and can be purchased through BookMyShow.
Run for Gender Equality
She Teams Hyderabad is conducting a Gender Equality 2K and 5K run at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road on March 6, on the theme ‘Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow’. Online registrations are open at www.ifinish.in. Those who register will get a T-shirt, a finisher’s medal and a breakfast kit. Registrations will close on Saturday by 6 pm.

Wonderla Amusement Park
Wonderla Amusement Park Wonderla Hyderabad has announced an amazing deal for a fun outing on its premises on March 8. The park is providing a one plus one deal on entry tickets priced at Rs 1,049. On this day, male visitors over the age of ten are not permitted in the park. The discount is solely applicable for women and is available for online booking as well as walk-ins. Shilparamam Musical event
Hope Advertising Private Limited and South Indian Cultural Association will perform a musical treat by women on March 8 at 9.30 a.m. at the Ethnic Hall at Shilparamam, Hyderabad. Eminent artists such as the Lathangi Sisters, Pratima Sasidhar, and Dr Mridula Ashwin are set to entertain the audience at this musical extravaganza. The event can also be streamed from YouTube.
Good walk
Goodwalk Sayfty, an online platform for women, and Good Universe NGO are hosting a walk from March 9 to 19. The event is planned to generate funds and increase awareness about women’s health, as well as to help marginalised women.
