Hyderabad: The High Court Thursday once again extended the stay on the demolition of the Telangana Secretariat old buildings till tomorrow.
PL Vishweswara Rao has filed public interest litigation in the High Court seeking to stop the demolition work and asked for the environmental permit for the demolition of the Secretariat buildings.
Today the bench dissatisfied the report of PCB and state Environmental Assessment authority. The High Court commented that the reports were given intelligently without giving a direct answer.
The High Court remark that does demolitions require an environmental permit? Or not. The Assistant Solicitor General told the High Court that he had not received any information from the Union Environment Ministry and asked the court to give time till Monday.
The bench view that the response of the Central Government was crucial in the disputed and adjourned the hearing till tomorrow.
