The new Act is the first step in revenue reforms , CM KCR

Hyderabad: The Chief Minister of the state KCR today made it clear that the proposed new revenue Act was the first step as part of the various revenue reforms planned by the state government. He made these remarks while replying to the questions raised by the members of the Assembly on the proposed revenue bill.

Speaking on the occasion he lauded that all the members of the house had given good suggestions for the implementation of the proposed Act. Reminding that the state used to have 170 revenue laws in the undivided Andhra Pradesh, KCR said that the Telangana state currently has only 87 revenue laws. CM KCR also made it clear that Dharani Website and ROR Act were not everything in the state while noting that the proposed revenue Act was just the beginning of the revenue reforms in the state and not an end of the reforms. He said that the new Act would be enforced in the state as an amalgamation of some of the existing revenue laws.

The CM said that they had given a cash incentive of ₹72000 crores to 57.90 lakh farmers of the state under their Rythu Bandhu scheme. He also said that the amount was credited into the accounts of the farmers within 28 hours. He made it clear that they had only focused on the issue that is creating problems for the people of the state.
