Hyderabad: The Cyber Crime Police of City arrested three for cheating many persons on pretext of providing Loan by contacting victims through mobile phones and emails. The trio identified as Suraj Varma alias Suraj Patel, 29, of Noida, Jithendar Singh, 27, of New Ashok Nagar, Delhi and Sonu Sharma, 28, of Noida was brought to Hyderabad on transit warrant.
Police said on August 1, they received a complaint from a resident of Khairathabad stating that he was contacted by the accused through mobile numbers and offered him loan of Rs 10 lakh. He was asked to transfer Rs 78,000 to their account as EMIs fees, GST fee, Refunding fee and so on. After transferring the money, the victims found the mobile numbers were switched off and lodged a complaint with the police, who took up investigation and brought the accused to book. (NSS)
